Clerks Alternate Ending

I'm not in a Clerks cult but I did REALLY enjoy seeing Clerks II - much to my surprise.  I must say it was kind of like a train wreck - I was grossed out but couldn't help watching and laughing to spite myself.  I'm glad they did't go with this alternate ending though.

Rising Cost of Health Insurance

The cost of health insurance and the growing number of people in the U.S. who can no longer afford it really pisses me off!  To insure our family of five, at least one week of my husband's pay goes directly to pay for our health insurance.  The really crappy part is that we rarely use it.  Not that I want us to need it, just sucks to pay so much into something monthly that you MAY need.  Can you imagine what the world would be like if we had to pay for everything on a "may need" basis like insurance (car or otherwise)? 

Men are from Mars

This really is funny and true to boot.  Just face it ladies, men are from Mars and we will NEVER speak Martian - just as they are even less likely to speak Venusian.

New Theme Park in Vegas?

I can't even fathom $1.1 billion dollars.  If that's how much this new Vegas theme park is going to cost - can you imagine the price of admission?  I was not aware that Wet-n-Wild closed.  We went there on our last trip to Vegas, which I believe was summer '04.  It was pretty crowded when we were there so not sure why they closed.  Seems like it would be very profitable considering its freakin hot there.

Turntable Ring

I know there is some fool out there that will waste money on this turntable ring.  I hope it's a big dude since this gaudy thing must weigh a ton!

Starbucks Ups Prices

Starbucks ups prices.  Well, that stinks.  It already costs me over $4 a day for my Starbucks coffee.  That 5 cents adds up over time.  Damn!!

Wedding Betting

I think wedding betting is terrible.  I would hate to see what people thought about me and my up-coming nuptials.  I think the people that bet should have to give some kind of payment to the couple when the last longer than the individuals bet.  I would have made a fortune!!!  I bet everyone would have bet a year or less on my marriage and we're going on year 14. 

Rules of Drinking

Did you know there are rules to drinking and/or being a drunk?  This is all in fun of course.  Sure gave me a laugh.

Space Shuttle Launch

I don't know about you, but space shuttle launches don't excite me.  I of course wish those brave/crazy people a safe trip and all.  My kids couldn't give a flip about it either.  I turned the tv off of their cartoons so they could watch and I don't think they even looked at the tv after that.  I think NASA needs some new PR people.

Ann Richards

Being a native Texan, I was sad to hear of Mrs. Richards' passing.  She was a smart and tough lady and she will be missed.
