Good post and I agree that Detroit has a long way to go. Aside from the sports complexes and the Fox Theater, I have no reason to ever go to Detroit. We stay tucked away in our nice little burb about 20 min (but a whole world) away. Even if Detroit had the type of stores you are talking about, who would go in them? Downtown is still a poor area.
